and Guitar Center, I was able to plug into a huge assortment
of Fender guitar amplifiers as well as bass amps (I sold

I love Fender amps for two main purposes. The first is they
have the best clean tone for an electric guitar of any amp
I have heard. What I mean by that is, their production models
usually have the best sounding clean tone with the most
natural reverb in the price range. And when you start comparing
vintage gear and really high end amplifiers like Matchless,
Vox and others, I still believe that Fender 9 times out
of 10 wins. Now of coarse every amp is different and certainly
when you cross that with different guitars and different
musical tastes and styles, there is always room for exception.
But the BEST sounding clean tone I have ever heard was at
a vintage shop in LA when I plugged a 59' strat into a blackface
4x10 Super Reverb. Absolutely unbelieveable.
Some
people also dig the distorted tones from Fender amps (mostly
their tube amps as their solid state distortion isn't as
strong) but I prefer Marshall JCM800 for all my distortion.
But I do prefer heavier stuff than a lot of people and some
styles sound great with a Fender amp's distortion channel.
I don't own a Fender amp yet as I cannot that Super Reverb
yet but I am still saving. I can't wait to pair the Super
Reverb with the JCM800 and have the best of both worlds.
