Hello.
My name is Catfish. I play guitar for Dive Bomber and I am also
an MP3 collector. Lately there seems to be a lot of confusion
surrounding the MP3 download service Napster, it's legality
and the best way to use it safely. The good news is that
Napster.com is now 100% legal, easy to use and allows you
to download virtually any song you can think of at the touch
of a button. The bad news is that it is no longer free to
use. However, I think it is well worth the price and as
an artist myself, I believe that musicians should be compensated
for their work. I hope you will agree and support that arguement
by downloading your music from an authorized distributor
(which Napster.com now is). To try the free trial install
of the Napster MP3 music download service visit Napster.com.
One of the big reasons that Napster is no longer free is
that it USED TO BE a software program that would allow users
to illegally download music files via its peer to peer file
sharing platform. But high profile lawsuits from the RIAA
and Metallica among others, lead to an injunction that stopped
the company from continuing to do business. However, Napster
already had a huge following of music enthusiasts and the
old saying "if you can't beat em, join em" seemed
like the most logical way for the company to evolve. So
the once bitter enimies became friends and now Napster along
with services like iTunes.com sell fully licensed MP3 downloads
online. Usually they run around .99 a song. And while you
can't get everything for free anymore, you should definately
take advantage of the Napster free trial while it lasts!
